I love summer time and the Beach! That is truly the best part of living in Delaware. Ashley started to get pretty brave this year and was actually riding the waves in until she got pummeled by a few.

In this picture I know you cannot see them but......there were porpoises or dolphins swimming up the coast line and the kids and my Mom were looking at them. Pretty cool. they were jumping out of the water.

This is probably one of the best Birthday Parties I have ever hosted.

Ashley was pretty as a princess and ready for Tea time with her friends. Inspired by Fancy Nancy and her ability to host a posh party......I followed her most basic rule...To have fun.

I had prepared entirely too much food but the kids had a blast and the cake that Jonathan's friend Ed made was awesome. I have no clue how I will top it next year.

My friend Belinda came out to visit me from Colorado the summer of 2008. I took her to St Michaels Maryland for the day where we toured the maritime museum and she had maryland crabs for the first time. I can't say she loved them like we do! We had a blast and finished our trip with a night at Rehoboth beach with my work friends. My friend Carol from work was turning 50 and we all went to the Rusty Rudder to celebrate. Kristin and the Noise were playing and it was hot and loud. Good times!

These were taken at my graduation in January of 2008. It has been a while but I thought I would put it on here anyway. It was quite an accomplishment for me! I never thought I would have gone this far with my education but I did.

This was Ashley's first horse show of 2009. As you can see she did pretty well and received 2 first's and 1 third place ribbon. She is riding one of Mis Michelle's ponies, Lampy.

These are some pictures from Easter of 2009. As you can see, the daffodils were blooming in my garden. Those flowers come up every year. I never planted them but they come up every year and brighten my front yard.

Does it say a lot that I have not added any new posts for almost a year. I have been busy and have just not taken the time to sit down and write. So here I am on a very snowy day in February with no where to go and I think now is a good time to catch up. I suppose I will just chronicle the last year and add some of my favorite pictures. Over all the year has been good. Morgan is now in 5th grade and Ashley in 1st. They both are doing well in school and we are very pleased with their progress. Ashley has really taken off with the reading. This really makes me happy since we were on the fence about putting her through kindergarten again but in the end decided to push her forward. Morgan loves to read and often has to be reminded to put her books away in order to get her mathwork done.
